U okviru svih dosadašnjih online sastanaka doc. dr. Lejla Odobašić Novo i doc.dr.
Lejla Odobašić Novo i doc.dr. Adnan Novalić.
Last week (March 1nd and March 2, 20201, International Burch University Department of Architecture took part of the second consortium meeting for “B – AIR-Art Infinity Radio” an EU Creative Europe. This project is a Large Cooperation Project that includes ten partners from EU and Western Balkan countries which are RTV Slovenia, BAZAART from Serbia, Institute Jožef Stefan from Slovenia, Radio Teatar from Croatia, The Graduate School of Architecture of Grenoble, University of Eastern Finland, TwixtLab from Greece, RTV Serbia and International Burch University Department of Architecture.
The project will be implemented form October 2020 until October 2023. With an interdisciplinary approach, it involves the research of sound, sensitisation for sound and different ways of listening. The project has a special focus on the experience of sound by vulnerable groups. The aim of the IBU team project is to explore how to transform the impact of sound of trauma in urban context on collective memory to that of a sound-of life with the focus on the city of Sarajevo and as such it aims to look for possible connections of various manifestations of sound in the architectural sense / form.
Currently all activates have been migrated to online platforms due to the current pandemic situation. This includes the first consortium meeting which was intended to take place in Ljubljana in November 2020 as well as the Sound Winter School organized in January by the Graduate School of Architecture of Grenoble and the Centre for research on sound space and urban environment (CRESSON) which was intended to take place in Grenoble. The second consortium meeting was hosted by TwixtLab from Greece and was originally intended to take place in Volos, Greece. At the online meeting assist prof. Lejla Odoabsic Novo and assit. prof. Novalic presented IBU’s progress and timeline of the project for the next six months.
As the Department of Architecture at the International Burch University, we are very excited to be a part of the Creative Europe Large Cooperation project “B – AIR Art Infinity” together with ten other partner institutions. We look forward to growing our cooperation network within this interdisciplinary team, expanding our knowledge base and sharing our experiences.
